Guests are a hard topic to talk about when it comes to your destination wedding. Unlike a traditional wedding, with a destination wedding, you have to decide who to ask, if you should ask anyone, and determine who will pay for these guests to come to your wedding. Because your wedding is not near your family, it can be rather frustrating for everyone involved. Even before you can book the accommodations for your wedding, you do need to straighten out your specific needs for guests.
Here are some things to consider. • Will you invite your entire family? If so, make sure you send out “hold the date” cards to them well in advance so they can plan their work schedules around it. • Will you invite just a few of your closest family and friends? • If so, will you host a wedding reception back home after your wedding for guests that were not able to attend? Even a simple party can help you and your family to celebrate your wedding and keep everyone happy. • Will you pay for your guests that attend? • Will the guests pay for themselves if they decide to come? Asking and answering these questions is a must. The good news is that there are no wrong answers. When it comes to guests at your wedding, you hold the answers. A great way to get guests to come is to allow them enough time and talk to them about it. Simply telling your family and friends that you are having a destination wedding, and would like them to come if they can, will encourage them to do so. In addition, it will allow them to make the decision that is right for their family without added pressure. In the end, you can make the right decision about your destination wedding by doing what makes you feel right. Selected Top Ten Destination Wedding ArticlesThe Important Factor In A Wedding Speech
